ODOT, District 11, through a quality based selection process, selected
WD to provide engineering design services for this project that involved
the rehabilitation of an existing single span non-composite box beam
on S.R. 148 over Moores Run. The bridge received a new box beam superstructure
with reinforced concrete on the existing wall type abutments on piling.
In addition to bridge design, WD provided the following services for
the project, including:
Utility coordination
Development of the project typical sections
Multi-phase maintenance of traffic details and notes
Establishment of profile grades and vertical alignments
Re-establishment of the existing horizontal alignment
Guardrail improvements
Intersection details with T.R. 126
Upgrade of signing and pavement markings within the project limits
Total Construction Cost: $334,730
TUS-516-4.05
ODOT, District 11, through a quality based selection process, selected
WD to provide engineering design services for this project that involved
the replacement of a three span continuous concrete slab on S.R. 516
over the South Fork of Broad Run. The new bridge is a single span
steel beam on integral abutments.
In addition to bridge design, WD provided the following services for
the project, including:
All existing conditions surveys (including property information)
Utility coordination
Development of the project typical sections
Establishment of profile grades and vertical alignments
Re-establishment of the existing horizontal alignment

Carrollton Signals
WD, on a task order from a general engineering services contract
with ODOT, District 11, provided engineering design services for
this project. The project involved the installation of new energy
efficient traffic signals with integrated traffic demand devices
at five locations within the Village of Carrollton. The new mast
arm signals replaced existing span wire configurations. This project
was funded as a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
and was completed and an accelerated design schedule.
In addition to bridge design, WD provided the following services
for the project, including:
• All existing conditions surveys (including establishing
existing right of way and centerlines)
• Utility coordination
• Railroad coordination
• Evaluation of ADA compliance and design of pedestrian facilities
• Upgrade of all signals within the project limits
• Mast arm and strain pole design
• Provided preemption capabilities to all signals
• Upgrade of signing and pavement markings within the project
limits
