ODOT, District 2, selected WD through a quality based selection process to replace an existing structurally deficient 4-span continuous steel beam bridge over Interstate 280 with a two-span steel hybrid plate girder bridge on integral abutments and cap/column piers. The roadway profile was also raised to provide minimum clearance over the Interstate, which required more than 1500 feet of roadway work. WD provided all engineering, as well as an existing conditions survey, for this project.

The Seneca County Engineer’s Office, through a quality based process, selected WD to provide engineering design services for this project which involved the replacement of a structurally deficient bridge over Aicholz Ditch on C.R. 12. The design included a single span non-composite box beam bridge on concrete abutments with drilled shafts.

In addition to bridge design, WD provided the following services for the project, including:
• All existing conditions surveys (including property information)
• Utility coordination
• Development of the project typical sections
• Establishment of profile grades and vertical alignments
• Re-establishment of the existing horizontal alignment
• Guardrail improvements
• Right of way design, including 3 owners and 8 separate parcels
• Preparation of legal descriptions and centerline plat
