MER-219-19.92
This project involves the replacement of a deficient structure over the Little Chickasaw Creek with minimal approach work. WD, as a sub-consultant to another design firm, provided all surveying services for this project. The survey included all existing conditions including property, stream hydraulic, and utility information.
DAR-127-23.99
ODOT, District 7, selected WD through a quality based selection process to provide engineering services for this replacement of an existing three span steel beam bridge on U.S. 127 over Indian Creek. The proposed design incorporated an 84 foot single span steel beam bridge on semi-integral abutments with piling. In addition to bridge design, WD was responsible for all surveying, roadway, and traffic design services. Due to the quality of the plans and the fact that they were submitted more than a month ahead of the proposed 12 month design schedule, WD received a Consultant Evaluation Score of 91 percent for this project.
Total Estimated Construction Cost: $650,000
DAR-121-28.83
ODOT, District 7, selected WD through a quality based selection process to provide engineering services for these two sites. The existing structurally deficient three span steel beam bridges over the Stillwater River was replaced with a three span continuous steel beam bridge on integral abutments and capped pile piers. The existing three span steel beam bridge over Swamp creek was rehabilitated and received a new composite deck, backwalls, approach slabs and minor roadway improvements, including: grading, drainage, and guardrail design, as well as detouring of traffic.
Total Construction Cost: $1,596,780
MOT-35-15.07
WD, as a major sub-consultant to another design firm, provided assistance with engineering design for this major project. The project includes the rehabilitation and widening of U.S. 35 between Interstate 75 and Smithville Road in downtown Dayton. WD provided detail design for the rehabilitation of 15 structures along U.S. 35. The bridges received micro silica overlays, new backwalls, approach slabs, railings, and other miscellaneous enhancements. In addition, WD provided all survey data for the entire project.
Total Construction Cost: $58,473,130
MOT-35-18.57
WD, as a major sub-consultant to another design firm, provided assistance with engineering design for this major project. The project includes the rehabilitation and widening of U.S. 35 between the Steve Whalen interchange and I-675 east of downtown Dayton. Interchange modifications are anticipated at Smithville and Woodman. WD provided all surveying services (excluding aerial mapping) and also provided traffic counts and analysis for project length, including each existing interchange. WD also provided high-definition surveying (aka laser-scanning) of five bridge structures within the project area.
Total Estimated Construction Cost: $121,752,400
CLA-T.R. 136-0.54 (Rocky Point Rd)
The Clark County Engineer’s Office selected WD to provide engineering design services for this project which involves the rehabilitation/replacement study of an historic structure over Mud Run.
CLA-70-6.75
This project involves the construction of three continuous mainline lanes on Interstate Route 70 from the Enon Road interchange east to the State Route 54 interchange (a total of 18.36 miles). WD, as a sub-consultant to another design firm, provided all surveying services for this project. The survey included all existing conditions (excluding aerial mapping) including property, stream hydraulic, and utility information, and locating all geotechnical soil borings WD also provided high-definition surveying (aka laser-scanning) of nineteen bridge structures within the project area.
CHP-T.R. 75-0.34 (Conrad Rd)
The Champaign County Engineer’s Office selected WD to provide engineering design services for this project which involved the replacement of an existing single span steel truss over Chapman Creek. The proposed bridge is a single span non-composite box beam bridge on concrete capped pile abutments. In addition to bridge design, WD was responsible for all surveying, roadway, and traffic design services. Project design was completed in less than twelve months.
Total Construction Cost: $307,660
Mechanicsburg Water Storage Tank
Due to safety issues, the age of their existing tank, and experiencing water shortages, the Village of Mechanicsburg selected WD through a quality based selection process to provide engineering design services for a 400,000-gallon elevated water storage tank with approximately 100 feet of water line. WD also managed the construction administration for the Village. In addition to the design services, WD worked with state and county government to obtain necessary building permits.
Total Construction Cost: $594,730
CHP-T.R. 214-0.58 (Glendenning Rd)
The Champaign County Engineer’s Office selected WD to provide engineering design services for this project which involved the replacement of two existing single span steel trusses over Pleasant Run. Both proposed bridges are single span non-composite box beams on concrete capped pile abutments.
CHP-559-9.95
ODOT, District 7, selected WD through a quality based selection process to provide engineering services for the replacement of an existing structurally deficient three span continuous concrete slab structure over Pleasant Run. The proposed bridge is a single span non-composite box beam bridge on concrete capped pile abutments. In addition to bridge design, WD was responsible for all surveying, roadway, and traffic design services.
Total Construction Cost: $365,040
DAR-127-27.33
