This project involved the replacement of existing twin 72 CMP culverts with a 10 x 6 reinforced concrete box culvert, including profile and shoulder improvements. WD provided all surveying and right-of-way design services for the project. As a result of these improvements six separate right of way parcels were acquired from four different owners

ODOT, District 8, selected WD through a quality based selection process to provide engineering services for the replacement of a three span steel girder bridge over Seven Mile Creek and a single span non-composite box beam bridge over Bantas Fork on S.R. 127. The proposed design for the 10.82 section included a 125 foot single span prestressed concrete I-beam on semi-integral abutments. The proposed design for the 15.82 section included an 84-foot single span prestressed concrete I-beam on integral abutments.

Both sites received new reinforced concrete slabs and minor substructure repairs.

The proposed bridge is a three span continuous reinforced concrete slab on concrete capped pile abutments and piers. WD, in addition to standard bridge design plans, provided: construction staging, parapet, approach slab, and pile layout details.

WD, on a task order from a general engineering services contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation, District 8, provided engineering design services for this project, which involved the replacement of existing traffic signals and intersection improvements along State Route 129 in downtown Hamilton, Ohio. The signals were converted to mast arm design and interconnected at the intersections of C, D, and F streets.

The proposed bridge is a precast reinforced concrete arch topped three sided culvert on spread footings.

This project involved creating a solution for a very dangerous situation - an abundance of access driveways into a busy urban street. U.S. Route 22 is designated an urban principle arterial route. Among the many things WD did to improve safety was adding 6 foot sidewalks on both sides of the road with ADA compliant curb ramps. WD also upgraded 0.41 miles of U.S. Route 22 by providing added pavement for a center two-way-left-turn lane and redesigning the traffic signals, with signing and pavement markings provided. Drainage design included new curb and gutters along with a new storm sewer system.

WD, on a task order from a general engineering services contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation, District 8, provided engineering design services for this project, which involved the extension of the fiber optic cable backbone of the Advanced Regional Traffic Interactive Management & Information System (ARTIMIS) along Interstate Route 74. The project also provided for the installation of CCTV cameras, roadside vehicle detector stations, dynamic message signs and the ability to monitor and operate ramp meters. WD provided all surveying and engineering necessary to complete the design.

The 2.24 section bridge rehabilitation includes a new composite deck, backwalls, approach slabs, field painting and other miscellaneous repairs. The 4.50 section bridge replacement will provide a three span continuous reinforced concrete slab on integral abutments and concrete capped pile piers.
