commitment to technologyEquipment & Facilities AutoCAD & MicroStation Capabilities: Working Remotely or Onsite All WD Transportation associates have remote access to e-mail when working onsite, while traveling, or at home. “Smart phone” technology with e-mail capabilities is also given to project managers, while all other employees have CFOS (call forward outside system) technology that enables employees to forward their calls to an outside number (cell phone, home, etc.). This allows us to provide the best customer service possible. WD Partners Online WD Partners Online is a web-based application created specifically to manage comprehensive, multi-unit design and construction programs. Users can communicate changes, gather input and link team members with unprecedented flexibility. Reproduction/Plotters We have invested significantly in our reprographics capabilities including high speed and oversized color plotters. In order to guarantee same day turnaround, WD Transportation maintains its own high volume reproduction services in-house. Our services include in-house assembly and shipping services, including Federal Express. Archiving and File Backup Systems WD Transportation has a new searchable online archive for client support so Construction Documents and other files can be easily retrieved. In addition, all network data is updated weekly in an offsite fireproof vault. Concept Visualization WD Transportation utilizes the software packages Autodesk 3DS Max and
Adobe Photoshop to create high-quality renderings and photorealistic
images. Such renderings have been used with great success during the
preliminary phases of projects to “get a feel for the design” as
well as during final stages for presentation within local communities.
Especially effective are “drive through” simulations, where
video images are created from the model to simulate travel through
a design model.
